Biblical Context
Leviticus 19:11-13 commands honest dealings: no stealing, no lying, no defrauding, and no withholding a neighbor's wages. It frames truthful exchange as a sacred law written into the inner life.
Neville's Inner Vision
These prohibitions are not external rules to police in others, but inner states you inhabit. To steal or lie is to refuse the abundance you already are, a refusal that narrows your own consciousness. When you withhold a neighbor’s wages, you imply a segregation of life from your awareness, and you profane the sacred name I AM by acting from fear. Yet the law says the name cannot be profaned, for I AM is the one behind all exchange. If you awaken in the assumption that you are constantly fair and just, you align with the natural rhythm of supply and trust. See every exchange as a reflection of your own inner capital: when you treat others with honesty, you embody a state where you are always paid in full by your awareness. The moment you entertain this inner reality, your outer world begins to respond in kind, and justice becomes the natural harmony of your life, not a penalty to endure.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and repeat, 'I am the source of fair exchange; I do not steal, lie, nor withhold wages.' Feel this statement as a living sensation in your chest for a minute, and observe how your sense of reality begins to shift toward honesty embodied in action.
