Inner Cleansing of the Land
Leviticus 18:24-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Leviticus 18 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage instructs not to defile yourselves with certain practices; it says the nations are defiled by these acts, and the land grows defiled, ultimately causing the land to vomit out its inhabitants.
Neville's Inner Vision
See Leviticus 18:24-25 as a map for the inner man. The defilement of the nations and the land is a record of the state of consciousness you entertain when you consent to separation, fear, and old guilt. The land 'vomiting' its inhabitants is your inner world showing you that these thoughts cannot stand in the light of your I AM. Yet this is not punishment but invitation: revise, return to the I AM, and let imagination dissolve the old energy. When you inhabit awakened awareness, the land clears; the old defilements are released by renewed feeling and belief. You do not fight circumstances; you revise them by assuming the reality of your wholeness. In that posture, the outer scene responds to your inner alignment, and the life of the land flows free from defilement into new expression. You are the land, you are the life, and you are the consciousness that makes all things new.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume you are the pure land; feel yourself as I AM, and imagine a radiant, undefiled landscape within. Hold and feel it real for a minute.
