Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse commands a boundary: during a ceremonial period of uncleanness, one should not approach to uncover another’s nakedness.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the kingdom of your mind, Leviticus speaks not of external rituals but of the state you occupy. To 'not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness' while she is set apart for uncleanness is a symbol for when your consciousness is veiled by a perceived uncleanness—desire, fear, judgment—do not press toward the other to violate the sacred boundary of your inner space. The command is a teaching: guard the sanctity of your awareness until you have transfigured the sense of uncleanness by awareness. Uncleanness is not a fact about the other; it is a belief you hold about your own state of mind. When you feel separation or impurity, you withdraw the impulse to collide with another's vulnerability; you revise your state by affirming, 'I am the I AM, and I choose purity of consciousness.' Your inner acts, not external law, create reality. By maintaining the boundary, you allow the weariness of impulse to pass and invite a higher alignment to emerge.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, breathe, and picture a radiant boundary around your awareness; with each inhale affirm 'I am the I AM,' and revise any impulse toward violation into reverent self-control.
