The Inner Door of Worship

Leviticus 17:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Leviticus 17 in context

Scripture Focus

4And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:
Leviticus 17:4

Biblical Context

Leviticus 17:4 declares that if the sacrifice is not brought to the door of the tabernacle for the LORD, blood is imputed to the man, and he is cut off from his people.

Neville's Inner Vision

The door of the tabernacle represents the threshold of your own awareness. When you fail to offer the inner sacrifice, you experience the 'blood imputation' as guilt and separation from the life you desire. In Neville's psychology, the world within is a kingdom of states; to 'shed blood' is to waste energy on thoughts and feelings that deny your true I AM. The verse invites you to own responsibility: true worship is an inner alignment with your higher self. You can reverse the imputation by revising your beliefs and offering the best of your inner energy at the door of consciousness—your imagination. By imagining the Lord's presence at that gate, you acknowledge that the life you seek is already yours, and the 'cutting off' becomes a shedding of old selves rather than a punishment. Your state shifts when you dwell in the felt unity of you and your desire, transforming lack into a renewed sense of belonging within the divine I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the role of priest in your mind; bring your wish to the door of your inner tabernacle, and feel the energy of sacrifice rechanneled as life-affirming awareness. Repeat until you sense complete oneness with the desired state.
