Blood as Life: Inner Atonement
Leviticus 17:10-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Leviticus 17 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Life is in the blood and is offered for atonement; blood is not to be eaten by Israelites or strangers.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this law, I hear a mirror for your inner diet. The life of the flesh is in the blood, and the altar represents your I AM awareness where meaning is poured, clarified, and renewed. To 'eat blood' is to ingest energy without honoring its source; it is a symbol for taking in experiences or thoughts without recognizing the life behind them. When you revise your state and acknowledge the I AM as the sustaining reality, you enact atonement by aligning every appetite with that awareness. Pour out the old beliefs that drain vitality, dust them from your scene, and let the new life move in their place. The stranger that sojourns among you is simply a stray impulse; you set your face toward life by choosing thoughts that support wholeness, and the life-blood within you becomes clear, active, and purposeful. You are the living altar, and your consciousness is the life it bears. The command here is not punishment but invitation to awaken your inner life and restore harmony between your inner state and its expression.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and, in the I AM, revise a persistent belief by saying, 'I am life and vitality now.' Feel that life-blood moving through you and replacing old patterns with living energy.
