Think of the fat as the heavy, sticking energy of yesterday’s self—habits, fears, and stubborn tendencies—that you cling to as part of who you are. The flame on the altar is your focused awareness lighting up that energy and allowing it to be consumed, not by punishment but by the impersonal power of life within you. The sin offering exists as a symbol that you are free to relinquish identification with limitation. When you observe the process with the I AM, you realize you are the priest and the altar; you place the old state on the altar of consciousness and watch its density burn away. As the fat turns to ash, the memory of the fault loses its traction in you, and forgiveness becomes a lived alignment rather than a distant decree. The ritual invites you to return to holiness by consenting to a new state of consciousness—one where you are forever the I AM, capable of purification through awareness and imagination.
