Neville's Inner Vision
Leviticus 15:29-30 stages a drama of inner cleansing. The woman stands for a state of consciousness that has felt distant from the Presence, and the eighth day marks a deliberate turn toward a new I AM awakening. The two birds symbolize two currents of attention I place before the inner priest: one in release, one in consecration. The first bird—the sin offering—releases the old identifications: the sense of deficiency, the memory of uncleanness, the belief that I am separate from God. The second bird—the burnt offering—represents the consecration of my entire being to the living Presence, the felt awareness of I AM filling every facet of consciousness. When the priest makes atonement, the two movements harmonize, and the impression of separation dissolves under the light of awareness. In this inner scene, purification is not a history to be endured but a state to be assumed and lived. By imagining and feeling from the I AM as already present, I rewrite the inner weather from unclean to holy, until Presence becomes my immediate atmosphere and I am simply the manifestation of purity.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and present two birds to your inner priest, one representing release and one representing consecration. Revision: 'I am already purified by the I AM,' and feel the truth coursing through you now.
