Inner Atonement Through Cleansing
Leviticus 14:18-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage shows a cleansing ritual where oil is poured on the person, the priest offers a sin offering and a burnt offering, and through these acts the person is declared clean before the LORD.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the oil that the priest holds as the flame of your own awareness, a remnant of belief lingering on the surface of your mind. The head touched by that oil is the seat of your I AM—your central sense of being. When the priest makes atonement before the LORD, it is not a plea to a distant deity, but your inner acknowledgement that your awareness has already reconciled every split between you and your true nature. The sin offering and the burnt offering symbolize the inner work of letting go: you release false identifications (sin) and burn away past images of unworthiness (burnt offering) so that nothing stands between you and holiness. As you dwell in this inner scene, the outward ritual of cleansing is simply the world conforming to your renewed consciousness. The verse is a map: renewal in awareness precedes renewal in life. Your chief task is to stay in the feeling that you are already clean, and allow your surroundings to reflect that condition.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are cleansed now. Feel the oil of your awareness resting on your head, and repeat 'I am clean' until it feels true.
