Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Moses commands Aaron and his sons to maintain sacred dignity—do not uncover their heads or rend their clothes—and to stay inside the tabernacle because they are anointed. The people are to mourn the burning God has kindled; the priests remain where the holy presence abides.
Neville's Inner Vision
Leviticus 10:6-7 speaks not of external ritual alone but of the inner posture you must hold. The command to Aaron and his sons to refrain from uncovering their heads or tearing their clothes is the refusal to expose ego to the light before the inner temple is secured. The decree to remain at the door of the tabernacle—the boundary of holy space—signals that the I AM consciousness must stay awake within its own chamber, not roam the stage of outward appearance. The 'anointing oil of the LORD' denotes the felt presence of God within you, a state of pure awareness that protects and legitimizes your act. When you assume possession of this inner state, the world's 'wrath'—its restless judgments—cannot reach you because you lie within the sanctified boundary of your own awareness. The people mourn what God has kindled because they sense the transition from old consciousness to the new, which you enact by remaining in the sacred space. Your obedience to the inner command is faithfulness to the I AM, and this faithfulness keeps you secure and active in the divine purpose.
Practice This Now
Assume the state: I am the anointed I AM within, and I will not depart from this sacred consciousness. Sit quietly and revise any ego-story that would pull you from the inner tabernacle; dwell at the door of your inner sanctuary in present awareness.
