Biblical Context
Leviticus 10:14-15 speaks of the wave breast and heave shoulder as portions given to the priest and his family from the peace offerings, to be eaten in a clean place, and brought before the LORD as a perpetual wave offering.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the wave breast and heave shoulder symbolize the nourishment of peace you receive when you refuse to starve your soul with conflict. The clean place is your purified awareness where you dine without stain. What is due—the portions—are gifts you claim by consenting to the covenant of inner harmony; your 'sons' and 'daughters' stand for the many faculties of your being—memory, imagination, feeling—sharing in the feast. The wave offering you bring before the LORD is the act of acknowledging, with clear intention, that the imagination you serve governs your world. When you repeatedly align with this inner feast, the 'forever' of the statute becomes a habit: you renew the covenant by feeling that peace is already yours and acting from that state. This is not external ritual but the inner economy by which the I AM feeds you with blessed nourishment as you remain loyal to the ideal you have chosen. Thus the verse teaches that your inner sacrifice yields perpetual abundance when consciousness, covenant, and imagination are one.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, close your eyes and declare, 'I am nourished by the wave and heave of peace; this is mine now and forever.' Feel the feast as real inside your mind, then carry the sense of purified awareness into your day.
