Biblical Context
Leviticus 1:4 describes placing the hand on the head of the burnt offering, and the act is accepted to make atonement for the individual. From Neville's perspective, this ritual points to the reader's inner state—when you assume a new consciousness, forgiveness becomes real within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Take the scene into your present awareness: the man places his hand upon the head of the offering, and the gesture is not about the beast but about a state of mind. The word 'accepted' is the key; acceptance is not granted from an external judge, but acknowledged by the I AM within you. When you place your hand, you are affirming that you, consciousness, are identifying with a state of forgiveness already complete. The offering is only the symbol reminding you that forgiveness is your natural state, a reality you accept by consciousness. The 'atonement for him' is the restoration of you to your true being, not the removal of an external guilt. In Neville's practice, you revise the scene in your imagination until you feel it in your bones: you are already forgiven, the separation dissolves, and your life moves in harmony with the I AM that you are. The outer event is a reflection of your inner acceptance, not the cause of it; you awaken to grace by dwelling in that unchanging I AM.
Practice This Now
Place your hand on your head, close your eyes, and imagine the I AM affirming, 'This is accepted for me now.' Feel the sense of atonement moving through you as real.
