Read Lamentations 4 in context

Scripture Focus

6For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.
Lamentations 4:6

Biblical Context

It speaks of a severe consequence coming upon the people for their collective iniquity, described as greater than Sodom's, and executed swiftly. The image emphasizes the immediacy and weight of inner states.

Neville's Inner Vision

Remember, reader, that the 'daughter of my people' is the living consciousness you wear. The 'punishment' spoken of is not some distant decree but the natural result of an inner state you have nourished. When a belief is held with enough insistence, its consequences break forth—just as Sodom fell when the inner fire of its choice burned through, in a moment. The line that 'no hands stayed on her' signals you are the only witness and the only potential rescuer: there is no external force keeping you safe from the effects of your own thoughts. Therefore, shift your perspective: the harsh judgment you fear is the projection of a buried conviction; you can revise it by choosing a different state now. Invoke the I AM as your constant awareness; in imagination, dwell in the feeling of being already free, forgiven, and intact. When you identify with that state, your world rearranges to reflect it. Your present punishment-like experiences dissolve as you hold to the truth that imagination creates reality, and you are the imagineer of your life.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and assume you are already the I AM, free from guilt. Feel it real for 5 minutes, then revise the scene in your mind until peace replaces judgment.
