Gideon's Dream of Victory
Judges 7:13-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
A Midianite man reports a dream about a barley loaf overturning a tent. The interpretation declares that Gideon, empowered by God, will deliver Israel.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the dream as your inner world speaking. The barley cake is a symbol of your small, tenacious idea of good, the seed of faith you carry. When it tumbles into the Midian camp and overturns the tent, observe that your inner conviction shifts the outer scene. The words of the fellowship, 'this is the sword of Gideon, the son of Joash; for into his hand hath God delivered Midian,' are spoken to you by your own awareness: God has already delivered you in this moment, in your sense of self and circumstance. Gideon, who stands for your faith awakened, does not fight someone else; he acts through your feeling of the wish fulfilled. The deliverance is not coming later; it is a recognizing in consciousness that right now, you stand in possession of victory over fear, lack and limitation. Trust this inner sign; let the feeling of relief, security, and triumph fill you. Then the world shifts to align with your inner revelation, and you find the tents of limitation toppled by the imagined reality you already hold.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, assume as true that you have already delivered Midian—the obstacle is toppled. Feel the relief now and dwell in that state for a few minutes, revising any fear into faith.
