Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God recalls Israel's deliverance and declares He is the LORD their God; an angel then commissions Gideon, insisting He is with him, while Gideon doubts and asks for signs.
Neville's Inner Vision
Judges 6:8-14 is not merely a history lesson; it is the map of your inner state. The prophet recounts how the I AM delivered you from bondage, reminding you that the power to free is already within. The angel of the LORD sitting by the oak is your inner intuition lighting a mind shadowed by fear. When it proclaims, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour, it is your I AM awakening to its own sovereignty. Gideon’s question, If the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? mirrors the ordinary mind clinging to old results. Neville would have you answer in the now: I am with you; I am the power that saves in you. Go in this thy might becomes a standing assumption—see yourself as the instrument through which the I AM acts. The claim is not conquest by force, but alignment of consciousness with the truth that you have been sent. When you dwell in that I AM presence, the opponents dissolve and you fulfill your mission with ease.
Practice This Now
Practice: Close your eyes, rest in the I AM, and declare, 'I am with you now.' See yourself stepping into your task as the instrument of God, and feel the victory as already accomplished.
