Inner Spoils of Imagination

Judges 5:29-30 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Judges 5 in context

Scripture Focus

29Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,
30Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?
Judges 5:29-30

Biblical Context

Judges 5:29-30 depicts a boast about spoils and the materials of victory, signaling a moment of external success. It also reveals, through a woman's self-talk, how inner talk justifies wealth-seeking and what one believes will be realized.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Judges 5:29-30 the inner council speaks of spoils and colors of wealth as if they were already earned. The wise ladies are not judges but facets of your awareness, answering you back with the logic of appearance: have they not sped, have they not divided the prey? In Neville's language this is your own assumption presenting a completed scene of victory and provision. Notice that the prey, the damsel, the varied colors of needlework, are symbols for the multitude of forms your life may take when you dwell in the conviction that you are the I AM, the awareness that creates. The outer world of wealth and triumph is the echo of an inner state you have allowed inside your mind. If you hear boastful talk, you can revise it by choosing a different ending, one where the end has already been achieved in your consciousness. The law is simple: imagination precedes manifestation; your belief in abundance becomes your experience of it.

Practice This Now

Assume the scene is finished: the inner council has already distributed the rewards you desire. Feel the abundance now and claim, 'I am the source of all provision.'
