The Inner Covenant Awakening
Judges 2:20-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God's anger arises because the people transgressed the covenant and did not heed His voice. As a consequence, the land is left open to the nations Joshua left, representing lingering habits within consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the anger as the inner alarm of your I AM when you refuse to align with the covenant of your true nature. The people in the tale transgress by turning away from the voice that commands loyalty; in your life, this is your habit of attention turning from that inner directive. When you do not hearken, you permit the old 'nations'—fears, doubt, familiar reactions—to remain undriven out by a new vision. God says He will not henceforth drive them out; not as punishment from a jealous deity, but as the inevitable outcome of a consciousness that has not chosen to be governed by the I AM. The remedy is to awaken to the covenant here and now: assume the feeling of being perfectly aligned with your true self, acknowledge the inner voice as the sovereign guide, and dwell there until the old patterns evaporate. In that moment, the lands of your mind are cleared and you discover that the promised deliverance is the ongoing experience of awareness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and declare, 'I AM the I AM; I hear the inner voice and drive out old patterns.' Feel the sense of complete alignment and let the old habits dissolve, here and now.
