Inner Shrine, The King Within
Judges 17:5-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Micah builds a private shrine with a house of gods, an ephod, and a son serving as priest; a Levite comes seeking a place, and there is no king, so people do what seems right in their own eyes.
Neville's Inner Vision
Judges 17:5-9 reveals that the outer symbols (house of gods, ephod, teraphim) are inner pictures you use to feel secure, while the Levite represents a voice you hire to validate your choices. The absence of a king signals a mind not yet governed by the I AM within. The Levite's journey to find a home mirrors your search for belonging through externally authorized voices. The cure is inner sovereignty: recognize you are the temple, the priest, and the king all at once, and invite the Kingdom of God to govern your every act. When you assume this unity, the boundary between sacred and profane dissolves, and you live from the inside out, guided by the one consciousness that underwrites all.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the identity of the I AM, the King within. Revise every idol or hired priest to nothing and feel the steady government of consciousness rise to the throne.
