Inner Vows, Silent Strength
Judges 16:16-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Delilah presses him daily, and he confesses that his strength depends on the Nazarite vow. If he is shaved, he would be weak and like any other man.
Neville's Inner Vision
Samson in the story is your outer self, the sense of self that can be strong only when aligned with the I AM within. Delilah’s daily urging is the persistent mental suggestion pressing you to doubt your sacred vow—that you are not set apart, not enough, not protected. The hair is not the source of power; the vow is the inner covenant you made with God from the deepest part of you. When you assent to the suggestion and imagine yourself as weak, you ‘shave’ your strength and you become like other men, reacting to every gust of fear or doubt. But the moment you remember the true state—that you are I AM, that you are already sanctified and separated unto God—your strength returns. The vow is a state of consciousness, not a clause of history. Lift your awareness to the unwavering fact that your power is the reclaiming of that sacred identity here and now, and you walk as one whose vitality flows from the inner covenant.
Practice This Now
Act: Close your eyes, breathe, and declare, 'I am the Nazarite unto God,' reaffirming that your strength is the I AM here and now. Then imagine the hair of your vow as a symbol of separation, and feel your vitality reborn through the felt sense of that sacred covenant.
