Read Judges 13 in context

Scripture Focus

16And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.
Judges 13:16

Biblical Context

Judges 13:16 presents Manoah’s encounter with a divine messenger who insists offerings be made to the LORD, illustrating that true worship is directed to God rather than to a messenger.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice how the angel appears as a messenger, yet the real grandeur lies in the one who eyes the message—the inner I AM. The command to offer the burnt offering to the LORD, not to the angel, is a map for your own consciousness: when a guiding impression arises, acknowledge it as a sign from your divine source and turn your attention back to the LORD within. The voice that seems external is only a facet of your own mind, a messenger passing through the theatre of your awareness. Your obedience is not to a ritual object but to the Presence that sustains every movement of life. Manoah’s failure to recognize the identity of the visitor is a gentle nudge that you, too, may receive discernment without naming its source. By offering to the LORD, you are affirming that the power animating every thought and image is the I AM, and that true worship is a living alignment with that Presence here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and declare: I offer my whole being to the LORD within. See any guidance as a messenger, and return your attention to the I AM, feeling the Presence real in this moment.
