The speaker notes that he was not supported by others, so he takes bold action, and the LORD delivers the enemy into his hand.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, see the scene as an inward climate. When I saw that the outer helpers delivered me not, I did not dispute the evidence of the senses; I reigned inwardly by placing my life in my hands—the firm act of assuming the state I desire. I moved across the inner boundary against the children of Ammon, not by force outside, but by the force of inner conviction. And the LORD delivered them into my hand: that is the inner law at work, the I AM answering the state I dwell in. The Ammonites stand for fear and limitation within; crossing over them means I refuse to let lack dictate my path. Deliverance then moves from within to without, as a natural consequence of the state I hold and feel. Your faith is not a gesture toward a distant event; it is a present awareness that you are the one in whom God dwells and acts. When you entertain that you are delivered, you become the deliverer; the world mirrors the victorious state you have assumed.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, affirm 'I am the I AM; the Lord within delivers me now,' and feel the certainty surge through you. Then move forward in the confidence of a proven deliverer, acting as if the liberation has already occurred.
