One Accord, Inner Victory

Joshua 9:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 9 in context

Scripture Focus

2That they gathered themselves together, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one accord.
Joshua 9:2

Biblical Context

Enemies gathered in unity to oppose Joshua and Israel, forming a single, coordinated force.

Neville's Inner Vision

That clause 'with one accord' is not a fortress of external alliance but a revelation of your inner climate. The gathering of others in the verse reflects the gathering of thoughts, fears, and desires within your mind when you hold a belief you are determined to oppose. To Joshua is given the command to stand in faith; for you, the I AM is the living awareness that sees through appearances of separation. When you notice that you feel united—no doubt, no fear—claim it as your own inner state: you have formed a covenant with your higher self. Begin by assuming one accord with the sense of the I AM, with Joshua as your disciplined aspiration and Israel as your faithful faculties. Allow any conflicting thoughts to dissolve into the single intention: I am united with my true will, and the world rearranges itself to reflect that unity. The outer 'battle' is but a mirror of inner alignment. To shift reality, shift consciousness, and gather the mind into a harmonious whole.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine Joshua and Israel as the allied aspects of your own I AM; declare 'one accord' and feel the unity as real.
