Answering the Inner Call Joshua 7:3-5
Joshua 7:3-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Israel underestimates Ai and sends a small force, leading to defeat. Fear then spreads as the people's hearts melt.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the battlefield is the mind. The two or three thousand symbolize a clipped assumption that victory comes by numbers rather than by alignment with the I AM. The defeat reveals a misalignment with your covenant, and the melting of hearts shows belief in lack dissolving under pressure. The remedy is to revise the scene with a truer assumption: you are one with God, and your choices flow from that unity. Imagine the entire inner army marching with you—courageous, obedient, invincible—and feel the reality of success as already accomplished, in present tense. Let that inner certainty govern today’s decisions. The outer world will reflect this inner alignment when you stop counting temporary forces and begin counting your oneness with the divine. Trust the covenant over circumstance; your life becomes a demonstration of inner sovereignty when you hold to this truth.
Practice This Now
Practice: close your eyes, assume the whole inner army stands with you, and feel the I AM as your sure source. Declare quietly that you are one with God, and act from that unity as if it were already so.
