Inner Covenant Cleansing
Joshua 7:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Israel sinned by taking the accursed thing and transgressing the covenant, so they could not stand against their enemies; the divine presence withdrew until the accursed was removed.
Neville's Inner Vision
Neville-like reading: The land called Israel is your own state of consciousness; the 'accursed thing' is a belief or habit you have allowed to lodge in your mind, an imagined separation from the I AM. When you entertain that belief, you find yourself unable to stand before life's enemies and you turn the back on them, for you have created a false boundary between your true self and your good. The covenant you were commanded to keep is the awareness that you are one with God in you, the I AM that never leaves your side. The moment you hold to that separation, you displace the divine presence. The instruction to destroy the accursed from among you is an inner revision: you must withdraw the stolen thought, reclaim your entire camp, and align your heart with the immutable truth of your God-state. In that inner cleansing, the enemies lose their power because you stand in fellowship with the Presence, and you experience the return of victory.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare 'I am the I AM.' Revise any sense of separation by affirming, there is no accursed thing within me; visualize removing it from your camp and feel your consciousness restored to unity with God.
