The Ark of Awareness
Joshua 6:6-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Joshua orders the priests to lift the ark and march around Jericho. The people, armed and ready, follow as the ark of the LORD goes before them.
Neville's Inner Vision
Begin by noticing that Jericho’s walls are not external fortifications but the outer shell of your own limiting belief. Joshua stands as your disciplined I AM, the inner oracle that commands attention. The ark of the covenant is the Presence you carry within—awareness itself. The seven trumpets symbolize the seven faculties of mind sounding faith into your thought-world, announcing, Consciousness precedes form. As the procession encircles the city, you are practicing a simple rule: surround your limitation with steady attention and sacred intention, and watch its power weaken. The ark both leads and follows, showing that inner state creates outer circumstance; covenant loyalty means remaining true to the envisioned wholeness, not chasing after results. This is worship in truth: not ritualism, but alignment with the I AM here and now. When you stand in that Presence, walls dissolve as a natural consequence of your awakened perception.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Tonight, assume the ark of awareness leads a circle around a current challenge; feel the Presence and silently declare, I AM here—let the imagined action end with the sense that the walls of limitation crumble.
