Inner Covenant Vigilance
Joshua 6:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Joshua 6:18 warns to keep yourselves from the accursed thing so the camp of Israel is not cursed; it speaks to inner purity, obedience, and accountability.
Neville's Inner Vision
Joshua 6:18 speaks not of materials, but of the inner order you maintain. The accursed thing is any belief or feeling that would contaminate your camp—the mind's holy assembly. When you entertain thoughts of lack, guilt, or fear, you invite a curse that taxes your unity and the geometry of your world. The moment you claim that you are already this wholeness, that your awareness is the I AM, you separate from the sense of separation and your inner camp becomes a sanctuary. Your true Israel is the disciplined imagination, which, when kept clean, shines through every event you call forth. The outside trouble is simply your inner disorder mirrored, until you revise it by insisting, 'I am the one conscious agent; I choose what I entertain.' See the marching orders as a command to dwell only in purity of thought, speech, and feeling; let the camp be kept by a daily act of inner covenant. By faith you remove the curse by assuming your supreme state now, and let the world reflect that sacred order back to you.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume you are already the pure consciousness. Revise any lingering fear into faith and feel the inner camp protected.
