Seventh Shout, Inner Victory

Joshua 6:16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 6 in context

Scripture Focus

16And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.
Joshua 6:16

Biblical Context

After seven cycles around the city, Joshua commands a shout, declaring the victory is already given by the Lord.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the city as your deepest desire, a state of consciousness you have not yet embodied. The seventh circuit is no act of brute force; it is the final act of inner alignment. The priests with trumpets are your faculties—belief, imagination, and the I AM within—blowing the sound that awakens you to what is already true. When Joshua says, Shout, he is teaching you to pronounce the I AM as if the thing are now. The Lord hath given you the city becomes not a future event but a present-tense declaration in your own heart. You do not need permission from without; you awaken to the truth that the city exists as a possibility within your consciousness and is made real by the feeling that it is already yours. In Neville’s terms, assume the wish fulfilled and feel it real until your outer world mirrors your inward state. The victory comes from steadfast inner trust, not struggle; the trumpet is your intentional conviction, the shout your conscious acknowledgment of the already given.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine standing inside the city of your desire. Feel its streets as your own and declare, I AM the owner of this city.
