Joshua 5:9-10

Biblical Context

In Joshua 5:9-10, the Lord tells Joshua that He has removed the reproach of Egypt, the people establish Gilgal, and observe the Passover in Jericho's plains.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the reproach of Egypt as a state of consciousness, not a memory of the past. The Lord's declaration, I have rolled away the reproach, is the inner assurance that you are now in Gilgal—a place of beginning again in your own mind. Gilgal becomes the inner circle where you declare your true identity as the I AM, untouched by former bondage. The Passover is your decision to align with the divine Presence in the present moment, to feast on the truth that you are seen and kept by God. The encampment at Gilgal and the plains of Jericho symbolize a settled mind ready for new possibilities. To read this through Neville’s lens, revise the old self away from the Egypt memory. When you assume I am free from reproach and feel it as real, you awaken the inner favor that rolls away the old stigma. Covenant loyalty is the disciplined attention of consciousness—staying awake to I AM rather than clinging to the old story. Make Gilgal your present state of consciousness, and outward events follow as expressions of that inner condition.

Practice This Now

In a quiet moment, declare inwardly: I am Gilgal, and the reproach is rolled away. Then imagine observing a Passover within your awareness and renewing your covenant of loyalty to the I AM.
