Inner Stones of Remembrance
Joshua 4:3-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Joshua commands twelve stones from the Jordan to be set as a memorial of the ark's power and the waters parting; the stones symbolize a covenant remembered forever. It stands as a sign to remind future generations of the crossing.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner Jordan is fear and resistance; the ark of the LORD your God is the Presence within you—the I AM you are aware of now. The twelve stones are not rocks but fixed states of consciousness you choose to honor: faith, obedience, presence, covenant loyalty, trust, clarity, gratitude, courage, stillness, purpose, joy, and remembrance—twelve facets of your wholeness. As you lift them from the current of doubt and place them on your shoulder, you walk into the lodging of your mind, letting the demonstration become real in your inner life. The sign among you is now the memory that, whenever you need it, the waters part before your vow to align with the I AM; the crossing becomes your ongoing method rather than a one-time event. This is not an external miracle hunt but the inward turning of attention so that your outer world follows the inner conviction. By remembering and returning to the I AM, you reset your state and keep the crossing alive in the present moment.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine twelve stones rising from the Jordan, each representing a remembered demonstration. Carry them to your inner lodging, and with feeling, declare, 'The waters parted before the ark of the LORD—my I AM presence is here.'
