The Living God Within You
Joshua 3:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Joshua 3:9-10 invites Israel to hear the LORD, declaring that the living God is among them and will drive out their enemies.
Neville's Inner Vision
Joshua's proclamation is not a memory but a command to awaken your inner man. The 'living God among you' is your I AM, the conscious presence that never leaves you. The 'drive out' of the nations is the dissolution of old beliefs—lack, fear, limitation—that you have allowed to stand between yourself and your desired state. When Joshua speaks, you are hearing the voice of your own higher self, the Lord your God, commanding the new alignment. This is not distant conquest but present realization: the power to change your outer world arises from a fixed inner state. To live in it, assume you are already attended by the I AM; feel that presence as real, now. Speak and act from that conviction, and notice the imagined obstacles receding as if they were driven out by the living God within you. Every moment becomes a Jordan crossing from doubt to certainty, a stepping into your inner Kingdom.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, declare inwardly: The living God is among me; the I AM within me now drives out all doubt. Hold that feeling and carry it into today, acting from that inner sovereignty.
