Inner Hornets, Outer Victory
Joshua 24:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Israel crossed the Jordan, came to Jericho and the other Canaanite cities, and God delivered them into their hands. They won not with sword or bow, but through God’s intervention.
Neville's Inner Vision
Crossing the Jordan is the symbol of your own ascent beyond limitation into the land of realized being. The enemies named—the fear, the lingering habit, the stubborn self-images—are inner dispositions awaiting transformation. God delivered them into your hand not by sword or bow, but by awakening a present I AM within you that perceives, names, and possesses. The hornet that goes before you is the inner motive force of awareness: a keen, faith-filled thought that precedes outward action and unsettles the old order. When you accept that you are the I AM made visible in consciousness, the land before you—your goals, your relationships, your peace—begins to respond as you expect. It is not conquest by force but alignment with the truth that Providence is your natural state and that your imagining creates reality. Your outward history becomes a mirror of your inward state: once you acknowledge possession, the walls fall away, and the interior power releases the external signs. The hornet’s advance is your cue that faith, properly fixed, clears the way.
Practice This Now
Assume you have already crossed your Jordan. Feel the hornet go before you, clearing every obstacle inside and out; stay with that state until it feels real.
