Inner Covenant, Outer Consequence

Joshua 23:15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 23 in context

Scripture Focus

15Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
Joshua 23:15

Biblical Context

Joshua 23:15 speaks of blessing tied to fidelity and warning that misalignment invites consequences. In Neville’s terms, the 'land' is your state of awareness, and what you dwell in inwardly becomes outwardly.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Joshua’s words, I say: the LORD you speak of is the I AM within you, and the promise of good things is but the intrinsic nature of your awareness when it rests in One. The “evil things” that come are not caused by a vengeful sky but by the habitual thoughts and feelings you have allowed to govern your inner land. When you identify with lack, fear, or doubt, you create conditions that feel like destruction of the good land you inhabit. Yet the text does not demand punishment; it reveals a simple law: your inner state attracts corresponding outer events until you opt for a new allegiance. The remedy is not to tremble before judgment but to assume a higher state, to revise the memory of limitation, and to feel it real that you are now living within the promised land. Speak the truth of I AM as your center, retell your story from the end, and dwell there in imagination until what you see in mind becomes your daily life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state of the fulfilled promise now; feel the land as yours and declare, 'I AM the I AM in me.' Revise any fear by choosing a higher thought and dwell in the felt reality of the blessing.
