Inner Covenant of Awareness

Joshua 22:22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 22 in context

Scripture Focus

22The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, he knoweth, and Israel he shall know; if it be in rebellion, or if in transgression against the LORD, (save us not this day,)
Joshua 22:22

Biblical Context

The verse asserts that the LORD, the God of gods, knows the true intentions of Israel; if the act is rebellion against the LORD, salvation is not granted this day.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this verse you see the inner unity of your consciousness. The LORD God of gods is the One Power behind every scene in your life, the I AM that knows what you are truly choosing. When it says he knoweth and Israel he shall know, it points to a duet inside: the individual mind and the greater Self recognize the state you inhabit. If your present act is rebellion to the inner law, no outer salvation drops in; you must meet the consequence within your own mind and motives. The east bank altar becomes a symbol for symbols you raise to prove allegiance, yet the real altar is your state of consciousness aligning with divine order. Your inner Israel, your collective I AM, knows whether you are in alignment or still in transgression. Mercy arrives as you acknowledge error, turn inward, and rechoose. When you practice the following revision and feel it real, your inner judge and inner audience become one, and the imagined event bends to your renewed obedience.

Practice This Now

Assume the I AM within you knows your true intent and grant that your next move reflects alignment with that inner law. Revise any rebellious impulse by declaring I am in perfect harmony with the LORD within, and feel it real for a full minute.
