The Land Within Awakened
Joshua 2:8-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Rahab tells the spies that the LORD has given the land, that fear has fallen on the people, and that the LORD is God in heaven above and earth beneath; their hearts melt with awe.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Joshua 2:8-11, the inner you speaks through Rahab’s confession: the power that parted the Red Sea is the same power now already given to the land within you. The fear of the outer world dissolves when you acknowledge the I AM as your own awareness—the Lord your God, in heaven above and earth beneath—present as you. The walls of limitation you imagine around your life crumble when you realize your thoughts and feelings have been the agents of your deliverance all along. The spies are your attention; their report is the revelation that the landscape of your experience is already secured by covenant loyalty and mercy. The memory of past victories—Red Sea, kings Sihon and Og—become evidence that your consciousness has moved from doubt to faith. When Rahab declares this, the land’s inhabitants surrender to the truth you now know inside: God is within you, not outside you. This is salvation in action: your inner state governs outer events, and the transformation begins with acknowledging the divine I AM as present now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of the line: 'The LORD your God is the God in heaven above and the earth beneath within me.' Sit with that awareness until fear dissolves and your inner land feels secured.
