Inner Victory Report

Joshua 2:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 2 in context

Scripture Focus

23So the two men returned, and descended from the mountain, and passed over, and came to Joshua the son of Nun, and told him all things that befell them:
24And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us.
Joshua 2:23-24

Biblical Context

Two spies report to Joshua that the Lord has handed the land to them, and that the people of the land are fearfully aware of their coming victory.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine Joshua’s report as a mirror of your own inner turning. The two spies symbolize a decision of inner sight, you and I choosing certainty over doubt and declaring the land ours because the I AM within has already claimed it. The ascent to the mountain is a rise in awareness, a shift in consciousness toward a state where fear yields to trust. When they say the Lord hath delivered into our hands all the land, they are speaking of a completed psychological state, not a distant conquest. The inhabitants faint because of us indicates that when your inner energy is fixed, resistance in the outer scene dissolves and appears as if it were nothing. Providence and guidance unfold as a gentle alignment of memory and intention—your vivid imaginal act becomes fact as you persist in assuming the end. The core message is not external victory but the realization that the I AM is the source of all power, and through this knowing, salvation and redemption unfold within your consciousness as present experience.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and adopt the assumption—that the land is already ours—until the feeling of 'done' fills your whole being. Then speak it aloud: 'The Lord has delivered the land into our hands,' letting the imagined state quiet any doubt.
