Read Joshua 19 in context

Scripture Focus

49When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them:
Joshua 19:49

Biblical Context

The land is allotted, and Joshua is granted an inheritance among the Israelites. This marks his special place within the covenant community.

Neville's Inner Vision

Joshua is the figure of your I AM within. The act of measuring and dividing the land is the inner act of sorting your states of consciousness until each faculty has its rightful habitation. When the children of Israel grant Joshua an inheritance among them, you are told that the leader of your inner army already has a dwelling in the kingdom you are awakening. The 'coasts' mark the boundaries you once believed between condition and faith; finishing the division means you have reconciled those boundaries within the only true land—the awareness you are. Covenant loyalty becomes fidelity to your I AM, a steady allegiance to the awareness that never leaves you. The Kingdom of God, here and now, is a well-ordered interior commonwealth where wealth, health, and harmony are assigned to the right inner channels. Family and Marriage speak of the unity of your inner people—the thoughts and feelings that, joined in purpose, give you a single life. The outer events you observe reflect your inner state: completion of the division is the inner receipt that you are already that which you seek.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, and assume you are Joshua, the I AM who has already inherited, living in the land of your consciousness. Feel the reality of that inheritance now, and revise any lack by declaring, I am wealth, I am the Kingdom within.
