12And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chislothtabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia,
13And from thence passeth on along on the east to Gittahhepher, to Ittahkazin, and goeth out to Remmonmethoar to Neah;

28And Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Zidon;
29And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turneth to Hosah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea from the coast to Achzib:
30Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages.
31This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

Joshua 19:1-40

Biblical Context

The passage lists how Simeon, Zebulun, Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and Dan receive their portions; it shows a structured distribution of lands. In Neville's view, these lands symbolize inner states of consciousness that you claim and tend within the larger self.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your inheritance in Joshua 19:1-40 is not a map of geographic land but a map of your inner states. The tribes are extensions of your own consciousness—Simeon, Zebulun, Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and Dan—distinct energies you may claim. When the text says Simeon's portion is within Judah, it speaks of energies housed and refined within the larger self. The borders show inner movements of awareness: what touches the sea of possibility, what travels toward the sunrise, what joins Jordan. As you live, you are measured by what you can contain and radiate. The land you possess grows as you assume a state of being in which you already have it; belief becomes perception, and perception becomes form. Within your psyche there are many districts that must be tended—gratitude here, courage there, compassion elsewhere—until the whole country, your total self, stands coherent in harmony. You are not chasing land; you are waking to the fact that you are the land that owns itself.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, declare 'I am the land that owns itself,' and feel the reality of already possessing harmony. Visualize your inner map as a city with many districts, placing gratitude, courage, and peace into each district until you experience unity.
