Benjamin's Inner Boundary Map

Joshua 18:11-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 18 in context

Scripture Focus

11And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families: and the coast of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.
12And their border on the north side was from Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up through the mountains westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of Bethaven.
13And the border went over from thence toward Luz, to the side of Luz, which is Bethel, southward; and the border descended to Atarothadar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether Bethhoron.
14And the border was drawn thence, and compassed the corner of the sea southward, from the hill that lieth before Bethhoron southward; and the goings out thereof were at Kirjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim, a city of the children of Judah: this was the west quarter.
Joshua 18:11-14

Biblical Context

The passage names Benjamin's tribal lot and its northern, western, and southern borders, placing Bethel, Luz, and Kirjathbaal as key markers.

Neville's Inner Vision

All the borders of Joshua 18:11-14 are not lines on parchment but lines drawn in your consciousness. Benjamin’s lot, set between Judah and Joseph, represents a balanced state of loyalty and productive faculty within you. The border from Jordan to Jericho and on into the western mountains marks the ascent of awareness from the Jordan of surrender to the higher ground of vision; Bethaven--the wilderness of vanity--is a place you pass through, not a dwelling. From Luz (Bethel) southward, the border descends toward Atarothadar and then rounds to Kirjathbaal, the site that stands as a fortress of your vowed choices. In this inner map, Bethel is your sacred attention, Luz is the stillness in which God speaks, and Kirjathbaal is the steadfast city you inhabit by decision. The west quarter encircling these points is your covenant with unity, stewardship, and creation of good. When you align your feeling with the belief that 'I am,' you redraw the borders of your life to reflect your true, indivisible nature and the harmony of your inner tribes.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and, in consciousness, draw a border around a present limitation. Assume with feeling: I am the I AM, and this border marks my new territory; breathe into the spaciousness you have claimed.
