Claiming Inner Inheritance

Joshua 16:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 16 in context

Scripture Focus

4So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
Joshua 16:4

Biblical Context

The verse states that the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of this verse as a map of your own interior land. Manasseh and Ephraim are not distant tribes, but two faculties of your consciousness—memory and imagination—receiving their rightful inheritance when you stand in the faith of your I AM. The act of taking is not conquest in space but the moment you claim a state of awareness and dwell there until it becomes your habitual environment. Covenant loyalty is the inner fidelity to the law that already governs your being: you yield to the I AM, revise what contradicts it, and refuse to be moved by fear or lack. When these two halves join within you—your practical memory of the past and your vivid imagination of the future—you create a united territory in which every intention can take root and flourish. The land is your present experience shaped by consciousness, not a border on a map. Your inheritance is the undeniable result of assuming the state of your I AM and living from that assumption.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you already inhabit the land you seek. Feel the I AM affirming it as present reality and revise any sense of lack until it sticks.
