Biblical Context
Joseph's allotment runs from the Jordan near Jericho eastward to the sea. It traces a line through Bethel, Luz, Archi, Ataroth, Japhleti, Bethhoron the Nether, and Gezer as the boundary of their inheritance.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inheritance, the lot of the children of Joseph, is not land on a map but states of consciousness mapped by the Jordan you cross and the sea you reach. The journey from Jericho eastward to Bethel, Luz, Archi, Ataroth, Japhleti, Bethhoron the Nether, and Gezer is the sequence of inner dispositions that define how you feel, think, and act. Bethel is the awareness that God is within, Luz the dream of being guided, Archi and Ataroth the borders you negotiate in thought, Gezer and Bethhoron the outward limits you consent to until you begin to feel the coast—the sea of unconditioned Presence. The goings out being at the sea means you freely let the boundary dissolve into the ocean of Providence, realizing that there is no separate land but the one I AM exposing itself as you. When you accept this map as the inner terrain, you will notice that Providence and Guidance operate as steady currents, moving you toward the Kingdom of God inside. The verse invites you to loyalty—to the covenant that your awareness keeps with its own reality rather than with appearances.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise a limiting belief by declaring: I am the I AM, and this inner boundary map is mine to dwell in. Then feel the Presence rise as you imagine the coast at the sea and inhabit the Kingdom within.
