Neville's Inner Vision
I place Joshua 13 as the map of my own consciousness, not a border of geography. The Arnon river and the plain of Medeba are currents and ground of feeling within me; the cities of Sihon, which reigned in Heshbon, stand for habitual thoughts that have ruled my mind. Gilead, the Geshurites and Maachathites, and Mount Hermon mark regions of my inner climate, and Bashan unto Salcah shows the breadth of my mental terrain. The kingdom of Og in Bashan—remnants of giants—are stubborn beliefs I have allowed to linger. But Moses, the inner I AM, smites and casts them out; victory comes not from seeking elsewhere but from awakening to possession now. When I rest in the truth that I am the ruler of this inner land, borders dissolve and higher mountains rise within. Providence guides me as I revise my sense of self, letting imagination reveal the kingdom already mine. The land is not coming to me; I am coming to it—by the awareness that I am, and by the practice of welcoming the end I desire into my present experience.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the end: you already possess the land now. Feel the ground beneath you as certainty, and declare I am the possessor of this state, letting that feeling settle into your day.
