Manasseh's Inner Inheritance
Joshua 13:29-31 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 13 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Moses distributes land to the half-tribe of Manasseh, specifying their inheritance by family and by region. The account reads like a map of possessions, outlining the borders and cities within their domain.
Neville's Inner Vision
Where Joshua 13:29-31 speaks of an inheritance, I hear only states of consciousness. The land Moses apportions is the map of your own inner being; the I AM assigns stations within you. Manasseh’s half-tribe, with its defined coast from Mahanaim to Bashan and the towns of Jair, stands for distinct habits, loves, goals, and purposes you have consented to own. The boundaries are not borders on earth but territories you have claimed in awareness. The kingdoms—Og in Bashan—are the larger appetites and fears that can command your attention; the children of Machir by their families describe the lineages of your decisions, inherited by your present sense of self. Remember: all this exists within you because your imagination creates reality and you, in your I AM, authorize it. The practical truth is that you can reimagine and revise these lands at will, until you experience them as already possessed by your true nature.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume 'I AM the owner of all my borders'; feel the possession as though the land were already mine.
