I Am Commands Inner Hosts

Joshua 11:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 11 in context

Scripture Focus

4And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
Joshua 11:4

Biblical Context

It speaks of a vast multitude going forth, symbolizing the inner sea of thoughts and habits. These inner forces rise and move with purpose when called by your inner king.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the 'they' and 'hosts' are states of consciousness gathered in the mind. The sand that is 'upon the sea shore' speaks of endless density of beliefs and memories; the horses and chariots are the dynamic habits and ideas that push a pattern into form. Yet the domain of power is not a distant army; it is the I AM within you, the awareness that can command. If you would bring a kingdom into your life, you do not fight the outer army; you awaken to a higher state and assume that your inner king governs. Picture yourself as the Commander of this inner army, already victorious, aligning every thought, belief, and action with that kingly state. Persist in that feeling, and the external world moves to echo the inner order, for the inner state's causal power is none other than God within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and picture the inner hosts moving at your command, and declare that the I AM within you governs them. Then feel the state of victory as already accomplished, and let that feeling settle as your reality.
