Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
All cities except the Hivites of Gibeon did not make peace with Israel and were defeated in battle. The LORD hardened their hearts so they would come against Israel, that they might be destroyed in obedience to Moses' command.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you lies the inner theater of Joshua 11:19–20. The cities are beliefs fixed in your mind; peace with Israel represents harmony with your I AM, your true self. The LORD in this text is the inner law that commands your ascent. When it speaks of hardening their hearts, it reveals how stubborn old thoughts resist new states of consciousness. As you advance toward a higher awareness, those familiar patterns rise in defense, not to condemn you, but to reveal what must be released. The battle is the struggle between the old self and the new awareness; the destruction signifies the demolition of limiting claims, the removal of favor toward fear and lack, so that your new state can stand unshaken. The final clause, aligned with Moses’ command, testifies that this is an inner law at work, ordering your psyche toward its promised land. Trust that the I AM within you is directing this conversion, and your outer sight will echo the inward victory.
Practice This Now
Assume the state you seek as already true. Revise the belief that conflict dominates you; feel-it-real that the old thoughts are dissolving and that you now stand in the victorious, peaceful Israel within.
