Arise Into Your Inheritance

Joshua 1:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 1 in context

Scripture Focus

2Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
3Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
Joshua 1:2-3

Biblical Context

Moses is dead, and Joshua is commanded to arise and lead the people into the land God promises. The land is already theirs wherever they place the foot.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your Moses is the old story you tell about yourself; his death clears space for a new awareness. The Jordan is not a river to cross but a threshold of belief, a letting go of limitation. The land spoken of is the state of consciousness you inhabit where your foot touches is immediately yours by the I AM’s decree. As you hear the inner command arise, you step into a territory already allocated by your true self, not earned by effort. The Presence that says 'I AM' is within you, sustaining every step. Each step is a movement of inner being, not a motion through time. Your task is obedience to the I AM: stand in certainty, align your feelings with the promise, and allow the conditions of your life to reflect that inner reality. The promise is not distant; it is your birthright activated by your declaration and feeling.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare that Moses is dead, letting the old self dissolve. Then imagine stepping across Jordan and walking the land of consciousness with the I AM as your guide, feeling it already yours.
