Arise Into Your Inner Promised Land
Joshua 1:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
After Moses dies, the Lord speaks to Joshua and commissions him to arise and lead the people across the Jordan into the land God promises. This moment marks a transition from the old leadership to Joshua’s new responsibility and the people’s movement toward their inheritance.
Neville's Inner Vision
After Moses dies, the Lord speaks to Joshua as the voice of your own I AM, inviting you to rise into a new state of consciousness. The Jordan becomes the inner threshold you must cross, not a geographical river, for the land promised to Israel is the inner state you already possess when you assume it. This is a call to covenant loyalty: stay true to the inner law of your being, trusting that your I AM has prepared the way and will bring the people to the land of abundance. Your obedience is not obedience to an external ruler but faithfulness to the inner vision; fear may appear, yet you do not negotiate with it; you revise it with the truth that your God-state has arrived. To practice is to assume the completed state now, feel it with the body, and dwell there until the sense of lack dissolves. Moses' death marks the letting go of the old self, while the I AM remains constant, guiding you across the Jordan into possession of your own promised land.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the completed state: I AM across Jordan and in the land now. Feel the land as present in your inner world, and revise the old self (Moses is dead) into this new I AM reality.
