God commands Jonah to go to Nineveh and cry out against its wickedness. The passage centers a divine assignment that requires obedience and accountability.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Neville's language, the 'Arise' is the waking of I AM here and now. The 'go to Nineveh, that great city' is not a geographic summons but the turning of your inner attention to the largest city within you—the habits, fears, and judgments you have allowed to rule your mind. 'Cry against it' becomes the inward declaration that these bindings are acknowledged and addressed. 'Their wickedness is come up before me' means the troubling images you have imagined about yourself come into the light of your awareness, and you, as I AM, can revise them. The mission is an invitation to responsibility, not punishment: to align your inner state with a truth you choose, to obey the inner impulse toward transformation, and to prove you can govern your inner city. When you answer this inner call—the assumed identity of a man or woman who lives by the I AM—you awaken a new stream of creative power. Justice in this sense is the alignment of your thoughts and feelings with your desired state, and Nineveh yields to a consciousness that acts from within.
Practice This Now
Assume the inward mission now: declare, 'I arise as the I AM to address my inner Nineveh.' Then imagine taking one faithful action today toward inner reform, and feel the certainty of its fulfillment.
