The Pool Within: Sent
John 9:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read John 9 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus tells the blind man to wash at the Pool of Siloam. The act of washing, done in obedience, opens his eyes and symbolizes inner healing and sight.
Neville's Inner Vision
John 9:7 is a revelation of consciousness rather than a physical command. The Pool of Siloam stands for the Sent state of awareness—the I AM that is awake to itself. “Go, wash” is the inner directive to relinquish old identifications and rinse away limiting pictures of yourself. When he “went his way” and obeyed, he moved into the new assumption and washed by the imagined act—reaffirming the truth he seeks. The result, “came seeing,” occurs as perception harmonizes with the restored state you have assumed in awareness. Obedience and faith are not rites performed externally but alignment of thought with the one already healed within. To be sent is to accept that you are where you are meant to be, and healing is the settling of consciousness into its true state. Trust the inner order that you are the Sent One who sees, even before the light manifests in form. The pool is the moment of choosing to identify with your proven I AM and letting seeing follow as a natural consequence.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare, 'I am sent; I am the water of awareness washing away limitation.' Then picture stepping into the pool and seeing clearly as a present fact.
