John 9:36-38

Biblical Context

The blind man asks who he must believe in; Jesus reveals that the inner speaker has already appeared as the one he converses with. He then declares belief and worship.

Neville's Inner Vision

John 9:36–38 speaks not of an external miracle alone, but of an awakening within. The question 'Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?' is the soul's cry to know the speaker within—the I AM, the Self that has been talking to you all along. When Jesus says, 'Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee,' the emphasis shifts from external witness to inner recognition: you have already beheld the Christ within, and the voice you heard is the voice of your own inner consciousness, not a distant savior. The moment true belief arises is not a change of facts but a change of state; you acknowledge the Self as Lord of your life, greet it with faith, and worship. Belief here is consciousness alive to its inseparability from the Self; worship is allegiance to the Reality you have always known in imagination. By this act, the blind man is not given sight from without but declares the inner vision fully present in him.

Practice This Now

Assume the Self within is the speaker of your life; in the quiet, declare 'The Self within is the speaker of my life' and feel the I AM presence as real now. Let this belief become your daily posture of worship, guiding what you think, say, and do.
