John 9:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 9 in context

Scripture Focus

3Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
John 9:3

Biblical Context

Jesus states that this man's condition is not the result of sin by him or his parents. The purpose is that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, see the man as a symbol in your own consciousness. The scene is not punishment, but a divine invitation: the works of God are ready to be made manifest through a state of awareness that knows healing. When Jesus says neither this man nor his parents sinned, he points you to the truth that God’s activity is not contingent on blame or circumstance; it flows from the I AM that you are. The works of God are not distant events but inner demonstrations that spring from your inner state. Therefore, the request for healing is really a request to awaken to the reality that you already possess the living God within you. To live in that consciousness is to reveal order, health, and wholeness in form. No longer identify with lack or fault; identify with the divine life that is infinitely present in every cell, nerve, and breath. By revising your sense of self to the active presence of God, you trigger the manifestation of the works of God here and now in your body and life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the healed state. Silently affirm 'I AM health now' and feel that reality already true, letting the sensation dwell for a few minutes.
