Scripture Focus

51Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
52Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
53Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?
John 8:51-53

Biblical Context

The verse promises life for those who keep Jesus' saying. It contrasts outward death with an inner, unending life accessible through fidelity to his word.

Neville's Inner Vision

Life is not a future event but a state of consciousness you choose to inhabit. To 'keep my saying' is to refuse the tentations of fear and rest in the I AM that you are. Death, in this light, is not the end of breath but the end of the old belief that you are separate from life. Abraham and the prophets become, not persons long past, but habits of mind that you dissolve by present faith. The question 'Whom makest thou thyself?' becomes, 'Who am I when I stop serving those old thoughts?' The words 'never see death' are a standing invitation to dwell in the eternal life that is already yours. This is practical: assume the state, let it feel real, and let the outer world adjust to the inner truth. Persist in this inner covenant, and your experience of time, aging, and loss recedes as you awaken to the I AM that never departs from you.

Practice This Now

In a quiet moment, declare in present tense: 'I AM, I keep His saying, and I shall never see death.' Then feel the certainty expanding from your chest as eternal life becoming your ordinary awareness.
